Those customers who grow crops should be receiving a crop insurance renewal form from us. If you have not received one, or you are a new crop customer, please give us a call and we will look after it for you.
Remember when I said something like "oils ain't oils" when it comes to home insurance? I then pointed out the differences between Accidental Damage cover and Listed Events cover. Well, an important feature in your CGU policies which you should be aware of is that in the event of a substantial loss of your home and/or contents, an extra benefit of up to 10% of your sum insured is payable for debris clean-up plus another 10% for architect and planning fees applies. This is payable on top of your sum insured.
Most other insurer's policies I've seen will only include these expenses in their total sum insured. So you are potentially getting up to 20% more with CGU. Allianz is almost as good, offering a total of 10% on top of your sum insured for those extra expenses.
When we have needed to make a claim in the past, we were required to fill in a sometimes complicated form and send it away.
Now, a simple phone call is how your claim is lodged. You can notify us of your claim, and we will lodge it for you. This eliminates filling in forms and streamlines your claim by getting all the relevant info in the first instance.
We are trialling a new online claim lodgement method with CGU. We lodge the claim online on your behalf. We will see how it goes. Our first priority is you, our customer. That is the advantage of insuring with an intermediary (such as us!).
We now do Greenslips online. This sends your details straight to the RTA, so that you can renew your rego online too.
We use QBE and CIC (Allianz). Both offer the no extra cost "Driver at Fault" cover. Our prices are competitive, so call in for a quote next time your rego is due.
Your business liability on your farm policy covers you for your legal liability in connection with your farming business. This includes farming, grazing, cropping or other like primary production activities. It can also include contract farming as long as this is less than 10% of your total farming activity.
You are covered anywhere in Australia when undertaking your farming business activities. If you engage in another type of business activity, it may not be covered by your farm policy. In this case you need to let me know so that an appropriate cover can be arranged.
Some examples of activities that are not covered are:
